You may be asking, how did this happen? Weren't you scared to death that your property management company would evict you if they even heard mention of the word "dog"? You're absolutely right . . . which is why we were sneaky about it. We informed the property management company that friends of ours were moving to Guam and couldn't take their cute little Westie with them, so they had asked us to care for her in their absence. (That's such a crazy story it has to be true!) The kindhearted property manager couldn't in good conscience turn down the poor little homeless dog, so as a result, Darcy's contraband status has been lifted and she is now a legal resident of South Yarra.
Break out the fireworks, and may January 21 forever be known as Darcy Independence Day!

We were deciding whether to renew our lease for another year, so we figured that it was as good a time as any to see if we could legalize Darcy in the process :-). Happy half-birthday, by the way!
